Recycling Cardboard

Whether you’re moving house, purchasing a large item, or stacking up your items, cardboard is a fantastic product.

Cardboard is essentially a stronger version of paper, however with a much lower purity form in terms of the trees used.
Cardboard is cheap, and easy. It can be folded away to save space, or it help hold your items when there’s no more shelf space.

Recycling cardboard is just as easy as recycling paper. Through its amazing durability and flexibility cardboard may suffer under the wear and tear.

The easiest way to recycle cardboard is to discard it into the paper recycling section of your recycling bin. However, much like paper, it’s a great idea to try and reuse the cardboard as much as humanly possible.

Cardboard is incredibly versatile in the sense that once it’s used it can be packed up and then reused at a later date.
When moving house, it’s often a terrific idea to keep the cardboard boxes, in case your children need them when they move out, or you need them to move large objects for your house.

It is often said that children have more fun in a cardboard box, than with their own flashy toys. Children can find great fun in decorating large cardboard boxes (like ones refrigerators are delivered in) and then playing ‘house’ in them.
Cardboard boxes can also be decorated as cars. They are only limited by your child’s imagination!

Cardboard is also fantastic when it comes around to Christmas time, and you’d like your children involved in creating decorations. Cardboard can be traced and cut, into stars or angels, and then painted and decorated accordingly.

Still considering arts and crafts, cardboard can be shaped for many things to amuse and entertain your children. Cardboard puppets and dolls are also a great idea for reusing cardboard.

After as much use as possible, the cardboard should be placed in the recycling bin.

It is important to understand that cardboard is almost exactly the same as paper, and should be treated in the same respect. It’s just as easily recycled, and it’s just as versatile when reusing before discarding.
