Recycling Metal

All types of metals have been of important use to us, throughout the ages. From constructing our buildings and houses, to building our cars and even adding shoes to horses! However, when large pieces of metal are found in your yard after construction, or picked up for one reason or another it becomes increasingly difficult to find ways to dispose of them, while being eco friendly.

Large steel beams are sometimes found around construction sites when they are abandoned, or they simply ordered one too many and were not required to return the metal to the company.
This can be a safety hazard, for many reasons. Steel beams are always heavy and difficult to move without the correct machinery and the right precautions.

Metals cannot be disposed of in the ecosystem, and be expected to disintegrate and decompose with the rest of our waste.
Metals in a liquid form are potentially harmful to flora and fauna, due to their chemical compound and their consistency. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that they be returned to the correct smelting plant, construction site, or building corporation to be reused.

Unfortunately there is no real way to recycle metals, so to speak. Most can be returned to their rightful place and if their requirement is obsolete, they may be melted back down to their base and reset for another purpose.

It is important to not take the removal of such heavy items into your own hands. This can cause severe damage to your muscles through the task of heavy lifting, and if the item falls on you, it has a higher chance of breaking your bones, than not.

If you have a steel beam, or another piece of metal left over from building a house, or any other purpose and do not wish for it to simply sit in your back yard, please contact the correct people to have it removed and reset for another purpose.
This will save time and money for a lot of people, and help you avoid having such a large object in your house for unnecessary reasons.
